Pregnant Mothers’ Thoughts About Baby ShotsRECRUITMENT CLOSED
This study explores how pregnant mothers in Victoria, B.C. make decisions about vaccines for their children. We aim to speak with 30 pregnant women at two distinct points in time: one, when they are in their third trimester of pregnancy, and two, when their infants are 3-4 months old.
rents’ Changing Feelings About VaccinesWe are interested in learning about the ways parents’ opinions and concerns about childhood vaccinations change over time. If you have a child ages 6-12 years, and your thoughts and feelings about vaccinations have changed since you first became a parent, you may be eligible to participate in a confidential interview.
We are interested in learning more about the doubts or concerns some parents with children 5 years old or younger have about recommended childhood vaccinations.
Children are being invited to take part in a study to determine how well children who have completed treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) respond to vaccines against childhood illnesses. Children who have been treated for ALL usually lose their immunity to childhood illnesses and require re-vaccination.
Special Immunization ClinicThis study will collect information about adverse reactions following immunization from patients attending the Special Immunization Clinic. The information collected will help build standard care plans that guide doctors as they care for patients with adverse reactions.

What is the study?
Every year, the Canadian National Vaccine Safety (CANVAS) network conducts an influenza (flu) safety surveillance survey. The study is a rapid online assessment of the annual influenza vaccination programs at seven sites across Canada. More than 20,000 people who receive their flu vaccine participate.
Why are we doing this study?
The purpose of this study is to monitor side-effects after the flu shot using an online survey. We are interested in learning about any new health problems that develop after receiving the flu shot which result in missed work days and/or a visit to a doctor or prevented daily activities. 2015 marks the 56th year of the VEC participation in this study
